Russell Simmons used Graydon
Carter’s soon-to-open Beatrice Inn as his personal yoga studio Thursday night. Spies say the hip- hop mogul showed up at a private after-party for Tyler Perry’s new movie, “Alex Cross,” and — when Simmons saw the new restaurant’s back room had a skylight — stretched out on the floor to admire the view and do some “yogi” moves. “Russell did some yogi-type stuff back there,” said a spy, “and did lie down and look up at the skylight.” Simmons’ date then followed suit, we’re told, as did some other guests. Waiters even served them canapes on the floor, to enjoy horizontally. We hear that the delayed hot spot could open its doors in two weeks. After Perry arrived, the party was abuzz with news he’s already working on an “Alex Cross” sequel to direct, write, produce and star in. The next film based on the James Patterson books is titled “Double Cross.” Also at the Cinema Society and Grey Goose gathering were Gayle King, Debbie Harry, Olivia Palermo, Ed Burns and John Demsey.
