Ronnie Wood opens Cutting Room

While the Rolling Stones just announced a couple of highly anticipated tour dates, the band’s Ronnie Wood has some big plans of his own. The guitarist will open famed live music venue the Cutting Room when it officially relaunches at its new East 32nd Street space next month, we’re told. Wood played his first ever solo show in the US in Atlantic City in April. He also hinted last week that the Stones could be adding more dates to a tour. “Once this wheel is turning I don’t think it will be able to stop,” he explained. Though it hasn’t officially opened, Chris Noth and Steve Walter’s Cutting Room has been hosting some warm-up gigs, including a benefit by Rockers on Broadway, featuring a performance by Monkees drummer Micky Dolenz. In the crowd were Oscar winner Paul Williams, award-winning playwright and composer Rupert Holmes and Laurance Gay. Wood, meanwhile, recently lashed out at his ex-wife, Jo, after she put items owned by him, including Rolling Stones tour outfits and a custom Fender guitar, on the auction block in LA.
