Paris Hilton really thought she was about to die during plane-crash prank

Partying socialite Paris Hilton was tricked into believing she was about to die in a plane crash as part of a disturbingly elaborate prank for an Egyptian reality show.

Hilton, 34, was attending a hotel opening in Dubai when the show’s hosts talked the seemingly unsuspecting former reality TV star into an aerial tour of the city, according to the website Gossip Cop, which first reported the existence of the prank video.

The hotel heiress apparently had no idea that her pilot was a stunt ace and that fellow passengers were actors ready to take her on the most terrifying ride of her life, courtesy of Egyptian TV personality Ramez Galal and the producers of his “Ramez in Control” show.

As the plane plummeted, the actors pretended to freak out, with at least one, presumably a professional skydiver, jumping out of the craft. It all unfolded with hidden cameras capturing the panic.

Throughout the ordeal, a hysterically crying Hilton screamed variations of, “What’s happening?!” and “Why can’t we land?!” as her seat neighbor, Galal, played up the terror.

After the plane landed safely, Galal told Hilton that she had been pranked.

“This is a prank show. We love you! We love you!” he said.

The sound of cheers, presumably from the cast and crew, can be heard in the background as Galal groveled for forgiveness while Hilton weeps.

“I’m am so sorry, I am so sorry, I am a bad guy,” he said.

Hilton retorted, “I’m going to kill you, you’ve been pretending the whole time?”

As an international jet-setter, Hilton explained: “It’s been my biggest fear my whole life was dying in a plane because I fly almost every day of my life.”

Before Saturday’s Gossip Cop report and emergence of video, the Egyptian entertainment magazine CairoScene reported in May that Galal had pranked Hilton.
