Jagger speaks out on L’Wren: I’m struggling to understand

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has broken his silence about his longtime girlfriend L’Wren Scott’s suicide in a post on his Facebook wall Tuesday morning.

Jagger posted a beautiful black and white photo of the 6-foot-3 fashion designer, who hanged herself in her Chelsea apartment Monday morning.

Jagger on Monday had just arrived in Australia for the first gig of the “Rolling Stones On Fire” world tour when he received word that Scott had been found dead in her apartment. The Stones have since canceled Wednesday’s concert in Perth, and the grieving singer flew to New York

A spokesman for the singer on Monday said he was “completely shocked and devastated by the news.”

Scott ran an eponymous fashion brand of women’s clothes that sold at Barneys, but it had run into financial trouble. Company papers show her company was $6 million in debt, and in February Scott canceled her presentation during London Fashion Week.
