NY Giant Andre Brown’s pals skip out on $1000 tab

Friends hanging out with New York Giants running back Andre Brown ran out on a $1,000 bar tab during a power outage at a New Jersey club. We’re told Brown and 15 pals ordered 12 bottles of vodka and several glasses of Champagne over two hours at 46 Lounge in Totowa on May 23. Shortly after midnight during the party for Metropolis magazine, the power suddenly cut off. “People were really nice and offered to pay, giving their credit cards to run once the power returned,” said a source. “No one else skipped the bill. Andre’s group didn’t even try to pay with a credit card. They just snuck out in the dark.” The magazine offered to cover costs, but the club didn’t want to take the money. “It would be nice for Andre or his friends to come back in and pay,” says a club source. But a Giants rep tells us Brown was at the club for only 20 minutes and it wasn’t his bill: “Andre was invited to join a group of people . . . he arrived, and approximately 20 minutes after his arrival the power went out. At which point he left . . . it wasn’t anything Andre had organized.” Brown is poised to start next season with the Giants. He recently said, “This is my year. I have to go out there and I have to produce. I feel like this is a very important season, and I have to go out there and show the world what Andre Brown is made of.”
