Paris Jackson in ‘meltdown mode’ following ‘major family drama’

The Jackson family is being put under the lens following Paris Jackson’s hospitalization after her suicide attempt Wednesday.

Sources from Paris’ exclusive private school in San Fernando Valley tell TMZ that Paris has been in “meltdown mode” for almost a year now following a “major family trauma” that affected her and she “stopped caring.”

The timeline appears to coincide with August 2012 reports of an altercation at the family compound, and of her grandmother Katherine Jackson having gone missing, before she was later located resting in Arizona.

However, a school official from Paris’ Buckley School reportedly told the TMZ source that when Jackson family members tried to persuade her not to do a movie, it allegedly sent her off the edge.

“Paris broke down,” said the source.

A top school official also allegedly denied reports that bullying contributed to the 15-year-old’s attempt.

Meanwhile, People reports that co-guardian/grandmother Katherine Jackson, biological mother Debbie Rowe and co-guardian cousin T.J. Jackson are trying to determine what’s best for the teenager moving forward.

“Katherine, Debbie and T.J. are going to meet on this soon to discuss and come up with a plan,” a source close to the family told the publication.

The source added that Katherine can’t provide for Paris’ “emotional needs” and is allegedly the reason why Paris recently connected with Rowe.

“Paris loves her grandmother but feels that Katherine can’t provide for her emotional needs,” said the source. “She and Katherine are close, but it just isn’t working for Paris. That’s why Paris has turned to Debbie Rowe. There is something missing in Paris’s life. The family hasn’t really taken this serious.”

A second source explained to People that Katherine is consumed by her son Michael Jackson’s wrongful death trial.

“[Paris] loves Katherine, but Katherine is dealing with the trial – and Katherine is an old woman. Just getting to the trial and back is a big deal for Katherine. She’s not really capable of giving Paris all the support she needs,” said an insider.

The Jackson family source said, “Paris went to UCLA Medical Center a few months back for depression and because she was feeling suicidal. She misses her father greatly. She was the center of Michael’s world. And it’s all different now. She’s just one of many grandkids now.”

Additionally, child-welfare investigators descended on Jackson family home after Paris’ suicide bid — and were shocked to find that her co-guardian, T.J. is nearly out of the picture, sources told The Post.

T.J., 34, is living almost two hours away from the family’s Calabasas, Calif., home, sources said.
