“Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson is loving playing the lead in the Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park production of “The Comedy of Errors,” but admits that being outdoors at the Delacorte in Central Park can get tricky. “You’re dealing with Mother Nature,” he told us. “Our first preview was a little wet, so unplanned pratfalls happen. You’re also dealing with extreme heat situations, and comedy doesn’t go over terribly well if people are sweating.” Adding, “You can’t want for a better audience than the ones who sit out all day waiting . . . it looks like we’re working harder with sweat running down our faces.” The show runs until June 30.
