Geoffrey Zakarian was toasted by a host of top chefs after being named new chairman of City Harvest’s Food Council.
Lambs Club chef and Plaza hotel culinary director Zakarian was feted by Eric Ripert, Tom Colicchio, Marcus Samuelsson, David Burke, François Payard, and Kerry Heffernan Wednesday night at Toro.
The Food Network star is taking over for Ripert, who has served as chair for the organization that has fed the hungry in New York for 16 years.
