One of the unlikeliest pairs to arrive together at an awards-circuit party were Oscar-winning “Chinatown” scribe Robert Towne and “Fifty Shades of Grey” author E.L. James. They turned heads at a private party celebrating Relativity Media’s “Out of the Furnace” at the Chateau Marmont on Sunday night. In the end, it turned out, Towne and James had simply shared an elevator ride [and unfortunately nothing kinky happened]. Also spotted at the event — which toasted “Furnace” stars Christian Bale, Casey Affleck and Zoe Saldana plua writer/director Scott Cooper — were Jeremy Renner, Jake Gyllenhaal, Winona Ryder, Robert Pattinson, Edward Norton, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Marc Forster.
