YIGAL Azrouel is keeping his mouth shut, but his admirers and detractors blabbed to Page Six Magazine, which will appear in Thursday’s Post. “Sometimes I go to his [Meatpacking District boutique] and try on things just to be naked in the same room with him,” gushed one woman. The handsome Israeli fashion designer — who was suddenly in the spotlight when Billy Joel‘s marriage to Kate Lee Joel imploded in June — is described as “an uptown woman’s wet dream” by another lady. “Who wouldn’t want a guy who’s sociable, straight and loves clothes? For women who can’t get their husbands to pay attention to them, it’s almost too good to be true.” But a detractor tells the magazine that Azrouel can be “all-out paranoid with zero sense of humor” and “a temperamental fashion nightmare . . . who doesn’t have the right instincts.”
