Following Betty White’s critically acclaimed performance on “Saturday Night Live,” a Facebook campaign has sprung up to get her signed as a host for the Emmy Awards. While Jimmy Fallon has already been confirmed as the host of the Aug. 29 Emmys, the campaign, started by blogger Abe Gurko, states: “It is quite obvious after Betty White’s job hosting ‘SNL’ on May 8th, that she is more than worthy of hosting the 2010 Emmys.” The 88-year-old showbiz legend agreed to host ‘SNL’ after a 500,000-member Facebook campaign. Her appearance got the highest ratings for the NBC show in 18 months.
