Hipsters celebrate indie rock blog’s first print edition

Hipsters braved Saturday’s snowstorm to celebrate the new print publication by Pitchfork, indie rock’s influential music blog.

The site launched the first issue of its quarterly, the Pitchfork Review, in Williamsburg (where else?) at recording studio Converse Rubber Tracks. A crowd of cool kids showed to see performances by Waxahatchee (a k a songwriter Katie Crutchfield) and Boston band Mutual Benefit, and a Q&A with the site’s staffers was moderated by rock writer Michael Azerrad.

A spy said that since “no cabs were to be found” to travel to the remote Hope Street location during the storm, “the G train had to serve as a magic sleigh.” Those who made it were rewarded with Corzo tequila and white whiskey cocktails.
