In a revealing black number festooned with feathers, Kravitz performed a torch song backed by old-timey the Citizens Band — with Rain Phoenix — while models posed, danced and languidly lounged onstage. Fashion luminaries, insiders and guests — including Becka Diamond, Meredith Melling Burke, Johnny Weir and Sandra Bernhard — lapped up the luxe boudoir vibe, inspired by 1920s Berlin burlesque and ’30s traveling carnivals. “There’s a moment where every generation thinks they’re the decadent, glamorous, gorgeous ones,” said Karen Erickson of her inspiration. Kravitz’s boyfriend, Penn Badgley, must have missed the style memo, showing up in frat-guy gear and unruly hair.
