While Katy Perry put a happy face on her split with Russell Brand, partying on New Year’s Eve and flirting with a mystery guy, Brand appears to be in a much more sullen place.
Today, Brand headed to the NHS Soho Health Clinic in central London wearing jeans and a leather jacket set off by a bright blue scarf. The comedian’s face stayed frozen in a tight frown as he was photographed by paparazzi walking from the clinic that specializes in walk-in appointments.

Sources tell The Daily Mirror that Brand stayed in his hotel room at the Savoy Hotel as the clock reached midnight on New Year’s Eve.
“He wasn’t up for celebrating and just ordered food to his room,” the source says. “The next morning he was in the gym from 11 am and spent two hours there.”
When a fellow gym-goer expressed sympathy and wished him a good new year, Brand reportedly responded, “Here’s hoping it gets happier.”
While Perry kicked off 2012 at the Soho House in Hollywood with friends, appearing to be in a “great mood,” Brand has appeared visibly sad since filing for divorce at a London law office on Friday, citing ” irreconcilable differences.”
Sources say that the actor is considering moving back to London permanently.
“He would be keen to move back to Britain as he needs a fresh start,” one source shares. “It’s a terrible time for him and despite his growing fame in America, he wants to cope with it by being back on home turf.”
