It appears that what goes around really does come all the way back around. Justin Timberlake has proposed to longtime on-and-off-again girlfriend Jessica Biel, reports say.
Multiple sources tell Us Weekly that Timberlake popped the question to Biel in late December, while the two were on a snowboarding trip in Jackson, Wyo., staying at the five-star Amangani resort. According to the magazine, the six-time Grammy winner chose the location because of Biel’s deep love of the mountains.
“Justin knows how much she loves snowboarding, so it was the perfect place,” one insider tells the magazine.
“He knew it was the right time to propose,” a source close to the couple squealed. “He’s never been happier.”
After celebrating privately, Biel and Timberlake reportedly joined friends in Big Sky, Montana, to celebrate the engagement.
“Justin and Jessica were throwing back sake,” a source said. “Everyone was having a good time.”
Biel and Timberlake began dating in 2007, shortly after Timberlake split with actress Cameron Diaz. The new couple was first spotted together at the Sundance Film Festival. They soon became a fixture on red carpets.
But in March, Biel and Timberlake broke up. Reps for the pair announced, “They mutually have decided to part ways. The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other.”
Three months later, the two were spotted sharing tacos at Black Hoof restaurant in Toronto.
“They have been talking the whole time and decided to give it another shot,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “Jessica really wanted to get back together with him and Justin realized single life is not what it’s cracked up to be.”
From that point on, Biel and Timberlake were inseparable again, even double dating with Biel’s parents in October. Reports say that the two had exchanging “I dos” on their brain ever since rekindling their romance.
“This was the basis for their getting back together,” said a source. “When they reunited, they had a conversation about taking the next step.”
This will be the first marriage for both stars.
