It’s getting serious between Leonardo DiCaprio and Victoria’s Secret model Erin Heatherton. Heatherton met DiCaprio’s mom, Irmelin, over the holidays.
We hear the threesome met over New Year’s Day brunch at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles. “The meeting went well and mom and Erin were seen laughing. Leo and Erin were on their best behavior,” our source explained.
DiCaprio and Heatherton have grown extremely close since December, and spent the holidays vacationing in Mexico with friends including couples George Clooney and Stacey Keibler, and Alex Rodriguez and his new gal pal Torrie Wilson. DiCaprio is filming “The Great Gatsby” in Australia with director Baz Luhrmann, and Heatherton made a trip right before the holidays to Australia to see him on set.
DiCaprio is extremely close with his mother, who has often accompanied the actor on the red carpet, and her approval is key to his long term relationships. This summer, DiCaprio introduced former flame Blake Lively to Irmelina, but the “Gossip Girl” actress reportedly didn’t hit it off with DiCaprio’s mother during the meeting.
Lively reported talked too much about her acting and modeling for Chanel, leaving an impression she was self-centered. Leo and Blake split in October.
