Rachel Uchitel gives back hush money from affair with Tiger Woods: report

Former Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel reportedly returned most of the money she received from the golfer after allegedly violating her confidentiality agreement — and is now fighting her lawyer Gloria Allred over making that decision, according to a new report.

Uchitel’s lawyer Gloria Allred had originally negotiated an $8 million settlement for Tiger’s former gal pal, just hours before she was going to hold a news conference about Woods to detail the affair they’d had while the golfer was still married.

As part of the settlement, Uchitel, 36, signed a confidentiality agreement which prohibited her from talking about Woods.

If Uchitel violated the confidentiality clause, she would not only have to return the money she received but Woods could then sue her for damages as well.

TMZ.com reports that Woods’ lawyer Jay Lavely contacted Allred a few months ago and said they were going after Uchitel because they believed she violated the confidentiality agreement.

Lavely’s accusations was that former VIP nightclub hostess-turned- PI had spoken to TMZ and appeared last year on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” to treat her “addiction to love” — though she never talked specifically about the golfer on the show.

Although Uchitel insisted that she never broke the agreement, TMZ reported that Allred convinced her she would “lose if push came to shove.”

As a result, Allred struck a deal with Lavely that Uchitel would return the bulk of the settlement cash.

Sources told TMZ, however, that Uchitel is now “fuming” at Allred since the lawyer would still get all of her attorney’s fees. TMZ said Uchitel originally “went along” with the deal, but as time went on “she felt she had gotten screwed, and then hired a malpractice lawyer who has made a demand on Gloria to either pay Rachel what she gave back or get sued.”

Uchitel offered a “no comment” when contacted about the issue.

In a statement, Allred said, “Our law firm no longer represents Ms. Uchitel and we have no comment on this story at this time. However, we are confident that we have always acted appropriately and in her best interests.”
