Busta Rhymes celebrates the new year in Miami

Busta Rhymes celebrated New Year’s Eve a night early at the one-year anniversary party for Catch and SL Miami at the James Royal Palm Hotel in South Beach.

The “Gimme Some More” rapper performed Monday for a celeb-filled crowd including Ryan Phillippe and his girlfriend Paulina Slagter, Jeremy Piven, Bethenny Frankel, Marlon Wayans and “The Sopranos” actor Robert Iler.

At one point during his energized 45-minute performance, Rhymes raised a bottle of Don Julio 1942 to the crowd and screamed, “[Bleep] New Year’s Eve! We’re bringing in the New Year tonight!”

He then took a lengthy swig which one partygoer described as looking like the equivalent of “four regular-sized shots.”

Other notable New Yorkers at the bash included Warner Music Group bigwig Rob Wiesenthal, DuJour Media Group’s Jason Binn, Warren-Tricomi Salon’s Joel Warren and Edward Tricomi, nightlife impresario Matt Levine and Adam Hock and his model wife Ginta Lapina.
