Halle Berry’s ex, male model Gabriel Aubry, is being investigated for misdemeanor battery and child endangerment following an alleged incident with the former couple’s 3-year-old daughter and a nanny, reports say.
According to TMZ, nanny Alliance Kamdem has accused Aubry of pushing her toward a door while she was holding toddler Nahla Aubry in her arms. Kamdem had sought a restraining order against Aubrey in court this morning, but was shot down by a judge who dismissed her petition as “insufficient and speculative.” The judge furthered that Kamdem’s claims should be addressed in family court.
In a police report, Kamdem claims that the incident in question took place last week when Aubry opted to have Nahla stay home for the day with him rather than go to school. When Kamdem arrived at the school to pick Nahla up as scheduled, she discovered that the child had been absent, according to the report. Kamdem claims that she headed to Aubry’s home to make sure Nahla was okay. At the house, Kamdem states that she picked Nahla up and began asking Aubry questions. Aubry is accused of flying into a rage upon being questioned.
Kamdem alleges that Aubry yelled, “You’re the [bleeping] nanny. Who do you think you are? You are a nobody. You don’t need to [bleeping] know anything.”
Kamdem accuses Aubry of shoving her toward the door as she held Nahla. Kamdem lists herself to be 5-foot-2 to Aubrey’s reported height of 6-foot-4.
Kamdem furthers that this is not the only incident of questionable behavior she has witnessed by Aubry. She alleges that Aubry often yells at his daughter and once refused to treat a rash. And she also claims that on a recent trip to Spain, where Berry was shooting a movie, Aubry would often “violently grab/take Nahla away from me.”
Sources at the LAPD tell TMZ that Aubry is being investigated not only for misdemeanor battery over the incident, but that child protective services is also conducting a parallel inquiry.
Aubry’s rep, however denies the allegations. “Anyone can file a police report at any time, regardless of it being accurate,” his rep says.
This is only the latest chapter in a bitter custody battle between exes Berry and Aubry, who broke up in 2010.
