Which Hollywood screenwriter confronted Martin Scorsese after a screening of “The Wolf of Wall Street” and started shouting, “Shame on you… disgusting!”?
Actress Hope Holiday, 75, wouldn’t tell TheWrap, after posting on Facebook about the incident at a Los Angeles industry screening Saturday night.
“After the film they had a discussion which a lot of us did not stay for — the elevator doors opened and Leonardo [DiCaprio], Martin S. and a few others got out then a screenwriter ran over to them and started screaming,” said Holiday, who called the movie “disgusting.”
I’ve seen the three-hour movie, which opens Christmas Day, and found all the sex and drugs wildly entertaining, though repetitious.
“It’s brutal,” admitted Scorsese in a conversation with TheWrap on Friday.
“I’ve seen it with audiences, and I think it plays. I don’t know if it will be to everyone’s taste — I don’t think it will. It’s not made for 14-year-olds.”
