RiRi’s 777 tour ‘international disaster’

Some fans are happy to be back on solid ground after Rihanna’s disastrous “777” tour on a Boeing 777 to promote her new album, “Unapologetic.” About 150 journalists and fans were flown on a seven-day, seven-stop tour with the Barbadian singer, but most endured a bumpy ride before the plane landed in New York yesterday. Reports detailing delays on tarmacs, a nude Australian DJ streaking down the aisle and a glaring lack of face time with RiRi spread quickly. One reporter for Spin magazine wrote of a mutiny onboard their flight to Berlin: “Shortly after the plane took off, everyone in coach lost their collective minds simultaneously,” he wrote. Some creative types actually drew up “Missing — Rihanna” signs with the singer’s face as a response for her no-show to her press retinue for most of the tour. “Our long international nightmare is over,” one passenger tweeted upon arrival here. Rihanna apologized for the snafus during the descent to New York, telling reporters. “I know you guys got barely any dirt. But I had to be good. I still sound like s – -t. It’s impossible to spend time with everybody.”
