Raúl De Molina — a k a “El Gordo” of hit show “El Gordo y la Flaca” — had to run from Thanksgiving dinner to Univision studios Thursday to tape an update on boxer Hector “Macho” Camacho, who passed away this morning after he was taken off life support. “We’d pre-taped a segment [with Hector],” explained De Molina, “so I left my Thanksgiving, with 20 people at my house, to redo a half-hour of the show.” The former lightweight champ made a successful comeback on Univision by appearing as a weekly guest of De Molina and co-host Lili Estefan after starring on the network’s dancing competition show, “¡Mira Quien Baila!” “I was very surprised,” De Molina tells us of the attack on Camacho. “He’s a very likable, very nice guy, with a good heart. It’s hard to understand. I think he met the wrong people. I personally loved this guy and we’ve been working with him on a weekly basis for the past year.” We hear that funeral services are being planned in Puerto Rico and New York.
