J.Lo mocks Grammy dress code: ‘They didn’t say anything about leg!’

What dress code? Jennifer Lopez skirted the issue at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards last night.

The actress/singer showed off major skin in an Anthony Vaccarello one-shoulder gown with a skin-baring slit that nearly rose to her waist.

“They didn’t say anything about leg!” Lopez said about her look to Ryan Seacrest after he brought up the advisory. “I thought I was being such a good girl! A little shoulder, a little leg.” Technically, J.Lo’s right.

The Grammys cracked down on the dress code this year when a memo, leaked to Deadline, asked talent to make sure their “buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered.” “Thong type costumes” and “bare side or under curvature of the breasts” are “problematic.”

The memo also advised against “bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack” and sheer, see-through clothing. It asked that genitals be covered “so that there is no visible ‘puffy’ bare skin exposure.”

Lopez made fashion history at the 2000 Grammys when she wore a plunging green Versace gown that dipped all the way to her navel. Last night, as she presented the award for best pop solo performance with rapper Pitbull, her sartorial choices were brought up again.

“So, as you can see, I read the memo,” Lopez joked with a side-by-side photo of the risque dress.

“You look beautiful, you look gorgeous and you inspired the memo,” Pitbull shot back.

“Yikes,” she said. “Maybe.”
