‘15 Central Park West’ slams real estate hotshot

Top real estate broker Dolly Lenz’s ears must have been burning on Tuesday night as Michael Gross discussed his new book, “House of Outrageous Fortune: 15 Central Park West, the World’s Most Powerful Address.”

Gross told a crowd at the Core Club — including Somers and Jonathan Farkas, Susan Blond, Judy Licht and Georgette Farkas — about how Carl Icahn tried to bargain on a $45 million apartment.

But hedge-fund manager Dan Loeb swept in, cut a check and bought the pricey pad.

Responding to a question during the Q&A, Gross — without mentioning a name — said he tried to interview Icahn’s broker. “Even though this is a woman who craves publicity, like a drug addict needs junk, she wouldn’t return my calls,” Gross said.

The author said he gleefully exacted some payback by leaving the broker’s name out of his book.

A British man raised his hand, and said, “Enough about Dolly Lenz…” The audience erupted in laughter.

Lenz, who sold more real estate in 14 years at Prudential Douglas Elliman than any other agent in the US, had no comment.
