Andre Agassi has confirmed what Page Six re ported in 1993 — that he was wearing a hairpiece. In “Open: An Autobiography,” excerpted in People, Agassi con fesses that at the French Open in 1990, his brother, Phil, had to ask Chris Evert for bobby pins to secure his dis integrating toupee. When Agassi turned up three years later with his chest waxed, we reported, “Of all the sto ries making the rounds about tennis stud Andre Agassi’s hairless chest, we like this one best: the fur removed from his torso is being woven into a rug for his balding pate.”
