Is Katy Perry mad at her parents?

Katy Perry does not appear pleased with her preacher parents, or the gossip surrounding her divorce from Russell Brand, a recent tweet implies.

“Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me,” Perry tweeted on Saturday. “Not a blog, magazine, ‘close sources’ or my family.”

Perry appeared to target her parents, evangelist preachers Mary and Keith Hudson, who had referenced Perry’s recent split from husband Russell Brand in a sermon this week. Brand filed for divorce from Perry on Dec. 31, citing “irreconcilable differences” after months of speculation that their relationship was on the rocks.

“I’m sure that Katy’s trending on the Internet was to get you here to church tonight,” Mary Hudson said from her pulpit to a crowd of 300 earlier in the week. “I mean all over the world, who knows how God is bringing them in? The most important thing is you are here and God wants to put the fire in you in 2012.”

Keith Hudson added, “What has taken place in my daughter’s life has opened many opportunities to go in and be with guarded and gated people. God has given us a platform to go in and meet people.”

Perry has spoken negatively of her extreme Christian upbringing in the past, so perhaps did not like the implication that her divorce could be part of a cosmic plan. Perry could also be upset with her parents over a bizarre anti-Semitic rant reportedly made in a sermon later in the week.

“You know how to make the Jew jealous?” Keith Hudson said on the pulpit, according to The Sun. “Have some money, honey. You go to LA and they own all the Rolex and diamond places. Walk down a part of LA where we live and it is so rich it smells. You ever smell rich? They are all Jews, hallelujah. Amen.”

This new tweet was only Perry’s second since Brand filed for divorce. While Perry’s words about gossip were heated, she had much softer ones for her fans.

“I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world,” she said. “You guys have made my heart happy again.”
