LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville faced off for the love of Eddie Cibrian. Now it appears that the two women may do battle on the bookstore shelf as well.
E! News reports that while Glanville announced last month that she was writing a book about her split from Cibrian after he had a widely-publicized affair with Rimes, Rimes is also planning to tell the story in book form. According to a source, Rimes is “putting out feelers” to find a writer to help her pen her memoir.

“[She] wants it to be a very honest book so she can speak directly to her fans and tell her side of the story,” the source explains. “She’s been through a lot of changes over the past few years and this is her chance to speak candidly to her fans.”
Presumably, Rimes will give a more detailed account of what led her to cheat on then-husband Dean Sheremet in 2009 and subsequently file for divorce. In the past, Rimes explained her actions curtly, saying, “I understand why people are disappointed in me, especially since I grew up as America’s sweetheart. I think any relationship is hard to get out of, and I don’t think the way I did it was right … It wasn’t a fulfilling marriage for either of us. As we got older, we grew apart.”
Rimes married Cibrian in 2011, becoming a stepmom to his and Glanville’s two children. At the same time, Rimes has further shed her good girl image by posting rampant bikini pics on Twitter. The country singer was even spotted late last month posing for sexy photos with a female friend while Cibrian cheered her on.
Since splitting with Cibrian, Glanville has found fame of her own on the Bravo reality series “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” In March, Glanville tweeted her intentions to write a book.
“Brunch with my fav book agent Michael B and fav RHOBH boss Alex B,” Glanville wrote on the micro-blogging site. “[My book] has been a long time coming. its about surviving divorce.”
While Rimes and Glanville have appeared civil to each other of late, even sitting on the same blanket while cheering on one of Glanville and Cibrian’s sons during a soccer game, working on dueling books could further strain the women’s relationship.
