Seating envy at Ferraro rite

Geraldine Ferraro’s funeral was packed with some of the biggest politicos, so it’s no wonder there was some boorish behavior. New Jersey Sen. Frank Lautenberg whined when he was seated in the eighth row — far from Bill and Hillary Clinton, Andrew and Mario Cuomo, Madeleine Albright and former Vice President Walter Mondale in the front rows — and asked ushers to move him up, which they did. A spy told The Post’s Jennifer Fermino, “It was so obvious he wanted to be in the peanut gallery.” The spy also spotted Sen. Chuck Schumer texting during the service. Oddly, Maryland Sen. Barbara Mikulski used her eulogy to praise Ferraro for her love of pork: “She loved an earmark or two,” she quipped. A rep for Lautenberg sniffed: “This story is a fabrication. It’s sad that someone would use the funeral of an American pioneer like Geraldine Ferraro to engage in a petty political attack. Senator Lautenberg simply sat in the area designated for senators.”
