Madge rips ‘false’ stories

Madonna went on the offensive yesterday following reports that the Kabbalah Centre was being probed by authorities and a scathing Newsweek piece on her char ity, Raising Malawi. Her rep, Liz Rosenberg, issued a statement: “In recent days a number of wild and totally false rumors about Madonna’s philanthropy — spread by bloggers and tabloids — have begun appearing on the In ternet. As we have said previ ously, Raising Malawi is cur rently undergoing a series of positive changes in an effort to serve more children. Nei ther Madonna nor Raising Malawi is being investigated by the FBI or the IRS.” Kabba lah Centre lawyer Mathew Rosengart added, “It has not received any official notifica tion of an investigation. If it does, it intends to cooperate fully.” The Kabbalah Centre and Raising Malawi recently signed up high-flying spin doc tors, including Trevor Neil son and Mark Fabiani. Fa biani is so high-flying that whenever Page Six tries to reach him, he’s either on or about to board a plane.
