Don’t ask Dan Stevens about ‘Downton Abbey,’ he’s moved on

Dan Stevens has moved on after leaving “Downton Abbey” — so much so that the media isn’t even allowed to ask him questions about the show.

Stevens, whose premature demise as Matthew Crawley sparked an outcry, has been busy promoting a new film he both acts in and produced, “Summer in February.”

At Sotheby’s on Tuesday, his rep told us he wasn’t taking questions about “Downton,” which pulled in a record-breaking 10.2 million viewers for its Season 4 premiere, and immediately dragged him away from us when we asked if he still watched it.

But Stevens did manage to whisper to us, on the run, that he still tunes in. He was also overheard talking about how much he loves living in Brooklyn Heights.
