Kate Middleton’s petite fame is the center of conversation again after Katie Couric accused the Duchess of being “so thin.”
SheKnows posted a test taping of Couric’s new syndicated daytime talk show. In the video, the host was asked who her “dream guest” would be.
Couric responded, “I think it would be really interesting to interview Kate Middleton because I think she has comported herself so well since she has been thrust in the limelight.”
She then aimed an off-the-cuff remark at the Duchess: “I think she needs to eat more because she’s so thin.”
Middleton’s slender figure has been Royal taboo before. Photos of a younger Kate that have surfaced over the years do indicate a noticeable weight loss. The Post reported that the Duchess of Cambridge lost 10 pounds before her wedding to Prince William in April last year. There are whispers that Middleton’s dietary habits are the reason why the Royal couple have yet to become pregnant, despite their desire to have a family.
It is not immediately clear why Couric made the comment. Considering that Couric has been given exclusive interviews with the Royals for her ABC News Special, we can’t imagine that they would be too pleased to grant access again.
