Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi shows off her week-old baby Lorenzo on the cover of People magazine.
The “Jersey Shore” star and her fiancé Jionni LaValle welcomed their first child on Aug. 26.
“It’s a different kind of love that I never felt before,” the pint-sized guidette tells the magazine.
The proud father spoke about how his son’s name was inspired by a child he knew from his hometown, where he and Snooki now live. “We were going back and forth, and I just happened to think of Lorenzo,” he says.
The baby’s middle name, Dominic, was given in memory of Snooki’s uncle, who died. “I did it for my dad,” she says.
The former party girl said that having a baby marked the end of an era. “When I got pregnant, everything changed. The partying is long gone. I’m a new person.”
The final season of “Jersey Shore” will premiere on MTV on Oct. 4. Snooki is currently filming the second season of her spin-off “Snooki & JWOWW.”
