Arnold Schwarzenegger still loves Maria Shriver, hopes for reconciliation

Can love conquer all – even a love child with the housekeeper? Arnold Schwarzenegger says he’s still head over heels for estranged wife Maria Shriver, and even holds out hope for a second chance.

“We’re not in any war,” he told Germany’s Bild newspaper. “I still have hope for reconciliation! I still love her [after 25 years of marriage].”

And as far-fetched as that may sound, he’s already been somewhat forgiven by his children. His son Patrick reportedly wanted nothing to do with him after news of Arnold’s love child with maid Mildred Baena came to light, and even changed his Twitter name to “Patrick Shriver.”

But now, after spending the holidays with his dad, he’s accompanying him on the European press tour for “The Last Stand.” The duo hit Cologne, Germany, on January 20, and Patrick tweeted about having a craving for German beer. (The legal drinking age for beer in Germany is 16.) They landed today in London.

Mom Maria, meanwhile, is back home in California.
