Shakira is currently giving birth in a Barcelona hospital, according to reports.
The actress was photographed arriving at Teknon clinic in the Spanish city in a black SUV earlier today. Her brother, Tonino, drove, and her boyfriend, football star Gerard Piqué, was by her side.
Confirming the big day had finally arrived, Shakira tweeted upon arrival, “I’d like to ask you all to accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life.”
The couple raised a false alarm back on December 28, when Piqué tweeted, “Our son has been born! We’re very happy! Thank you all for you messages!” But it was actually a prank for the Spanish holiday, Día de los Santos Inocentes, which is similar to April Fool’s Day.
He confessed the next day, “He has a name! His name is Innocence! Happy Day of the Innocents to everyone!”
Other reports in Spanish media have claimed Shakira will have a girl, but the world will know soon enough!
