“Twilight” star Nikki Reed showed off her soulful voice as she put on an acoustic performance with her husband, “American Idol” finalist Paul McDonald, at the Darby. The couple performed for guests at a dinner for RentTheRunway.com co-founders Jenn Hyman and Jenny Fleiss. Of the Runway duo, who met at Harvard Business School and started the company as a way for women to access aspirational fashion brands, Reed said, “It’s such a great idea, I kind of wish I’d thought of it.” Reed and McDonald performed two songs they wrote together, with lyrics taken from her personal poetry. Later, Lady Rizo and the Darby house band played a mix of songs, prompting McDonald to return to the stage for an encore.
