Proving that you don’t have to be remotely connected to filmmaking to be a star at Sundance, Yankees pitcher Phil Hughes hit the film festival looking for lady friends.
At Mike Heller’s TR Suites gift lounge last Saturday, Hughes used his best pickup line on a gorgeous brunette when he grabbed her and made her pose for pics with him in the Zico coconut photo booth. He told the shocked woman, “You can’t take a picture without a pretty girl!” Somehow he managed to pose solo for other shots after picking up a slew of swag, including a Sean John jacket, Duracell Powermat and Monster DNA headphones.
Later that night, he also invited a crowd of gorgeous female partygoers to join him at his table at Tao at The Village at The Lift.
The pitcher will have to stop the party when he reports to training camp in Tampa next month.
