Bill and Hillary Clinton could be looking to snap up a new place in the Hamptons, The Post’s Jennifer Gould Keil reports. According to a source, “They are looking to rent or buy a stately but relatively modest-priced oceanfront mansion. They have been renting here for a few years, and looking to buy on-and-off. When you look at what’s going on with them — the transition that Hillary is making — it makes perfect sense for them.” The Clintons have in the past rented a $19 million, eight-bedroom mansion on Lily Pond Lane owned by Elie Hirschfeld, among other properties, insiders said. The two are now said to be looking at homes in the $10 million to $15 million range, with help from a broker at real estate firm Saunders & Associates. The Clintons have a multitude of “handlers and advisers” who look at the properties first. But another source close to the deflection-adept Clintons was incensed. He sniffed, “This is totally false. As you’ve probably seen, they are a little busy right now dealing with other things than buying a house.”
