Knicks get private screening of ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’

The Knicks took a break from their disastrous season to watch the inspirational, Oscar-buzzed movie “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” on Monday night.

The NBA arranged for the private showing at a Midtown screening room.

Spotted in the audience were Amar’e Stoudemire (who brought one of his high school coaches with him as a guest), Tyson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Andrea Bargnani, Tim Hardaway Jr., Pablo Prigioni, Cole Aldrich, Toure Murry, Beno Udrih and Kenyon Martin. Also seeing the film was beleaguered coach Mike Woodson and his staff, including Jim Todd, Herb Williams, Darrell Walker and Jerry Dunn.

On the same night, “Mandela” stars Idris Elba and Naomie Harris were at the 18th Capri, Hollywood Film Festival in Italy, where both won top prizes for the movie. Elba — who’s also an accomplished DJ — was the toast of the town when he sang “Volare” at an after-party at a local nightclub.

And Harris looked stunning in a Marchesa dress.
