“Gossip Girl” actress Leighton Meester enjoyed the sun, and reported new boyfriend Aaron Himelstein, while on vacation in Brazil this weekend.
The two were spotted holding hands and embracing while visiting the famous Christ the Redeemer statue in the Tijuca Forest National Park on Friday.

On Saturday, the pair headed to the beach in Rio de Janeiro, where they kissed and splashed each other in the surf. While Himelstein wore a simple pair of black trunks, Meester stunned in an itsy-bitsy pink bikini that showed off her trim frame. At one point, the actress appeared to wrestle to keep her bikini bottom from coming off in the waves.
While Meester has been dating Himelstein, an artist, for about five months it is reported to be the couple’s second time around. The pair apparently also dated in 2007.
“He’s been around for a while. She’s been with him since at least November,” a source told Us Weekly. “He dotes on her.”
Meester has tended to keep quiet about her love life. While she dated her “Gossip Girl” co-star Sebastian Stan from 2008 to 2010, the actress was linked to Drew Barrymore’s ex, Justin Long, last summer.
But the brunette recently revealed that relationships simply aren’t her priority in life
“I never had a boyfriend until I was 18. It’s nice, I guess — when you like them,” she told Marie Claire in April. “But it isn’t the most important thing … I’m not sure I ever want to get married. The only time a relationship is good is when you really love them. I don’t want to hang out with some guy I just like.”
