Divorce talks between Simon Cowell’s baby mama and her husband hit a snag

Divorce talks between Simon Cowell’s baby mama, Lauren Silverman, and her New York real estate mogul husband have hit a bump as they battle over custody of their son and their $4 million prenup.

Sources said it was hoped Lauren and Andrew Silverman would have reached a settlement this week, but the wrangle over their son Adam, 7, and money has slowed things down.

One source said the two “want it settled as soon as possible. But Andrew is adamant Adam won’t live in Los Angeles if Lauren moves there to be with Simon. There’s no way a woman pregnant with another man’s child would take her son away from his father. ”

Another source adds, “The lawyers slowed things down this week. They haven’t yet agreed on the figure Lauren would get from the prenup.” It is likely to be significantly less than the $4 million specified in the agreement.

Page Six revealed this week that Cowell is considering giving his pregnant lover Lauren a $15 million home in Beverly Hills. The music mogul is planning to bring socialite Lauren, 36, over to California once her divorce is settled and could move her into a house he bought in December 2011 but never occupied himself.

Cowell paid $15.5 million for the house in Beverly Hills’ Trousdale Estates which had belonged to AEG exec Randy Phillips. It’s a short drive from Cowell’s sprawling mansion on North Palm Drive in Beverly Hills.

Lauren, who is around ten weeks’ pregnant, remains at her family’s rented Hamptons home as she works to settle her divorce.

Meanwhile, Cowell has also been looking at apartments in New York for Lauren, who will need a place here to visit her son. Mailonline reported that Cowell is eyeing a $20,000-a-month rental apartment.

Lauren’s lawyer referred us to her earlier statement, “I am committed to sorting things out with Andrew as amicably as possible to ensure the well-being of our son.” Reps for Cowell and Andrew declined to comment.
