Actor Dominic Monaghan has accused his “Lost” co-star Matthew Fox of “beating women.”

Monaghan made the comments as he promoted his new TV show, “Wild Things” on the Outdoor Life Network, asking fans to send him questions via Twitter. Twitter user “@omggbeccaa” wrote to Monaghan’s attention, “Holla at Matthew Fox and tell him to get a Twitter, I beg of you.”

Monaghan gave a shocking response.

“He beats women,” the actor said. “No thanks.”

At first, it appeared that Monaghan was referring to an incident last August when a female bus driver alleged that Fox had assaulted her as he attempted to get on a party bus, though he was not on the guest list. While bus driver Heather Bormann filed a $75,000 lawsuit against the actor, Fox counter-sued saying that Bormann was lying about the incident, and had assaulted him.

However, Monaghan soon claimed that he was speaking about Fox’s alleged behavior more generally.

When “@omggbeccaa” responded to his tweet, “What about all those good times you had together?” Monaghan shot back, “How do you know we ever did? You don’t know either of us. He beats women. Not isolated incidents. Often.”

Monaghan didn’t stop there. He also wrote, “An accusation is when you ‘claim’ someone did something wrong. I know. But hey little fan girl maybe want to get slapped.”

Monaghan’s comments are only the latest blow against Fox’s reputation. TMZ reported that the actor was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of driving under the influence near his home in Bend, Oregon.
