You can bet Scientology won’t be part of the curriculum. Katie Holmes has enrolled daughter Suri, 6, in Avenues, a tony $40,000-a-year private school opening this fall in Chelsea, according to Life & Style Weekly. Holmes — who made sure Scientologists will never get their paws on Suri as part of her divorce settlement with Tom Cruise — has been hyping the new K-12 school to the daughter she shares with the “Mission: Impossible” star. “[Katie] has eagerly been telling Suri all about the lunchrooms, basketball courts and different activities Avenues offer,” a source told the magazine. “Suri’s really excited.” She’ll enroll in first grade and begin learning Spanish or Mandarin, along with reading, writing, math, science and music. The school, which boasts a fitness center and rooftop playground, overlooks the High Line Park just a few blocks from Holmes’ Chelsea pad. Suri was previously home-tutored. She’ll now attend a “world school” with branches in China, India, Africa and Europe. The school also has a partnership with Chelsea Piers, where Suri’s been enrolled in gymnastics classes. Previous reports said Holmes was enrolling Suri in an all-girls Catholic school, Convent of the Sacred Heart, on the Upper East Side. The Catholic-raised Holmes blindsided Cruise with divorce papers in June amid word the former “Dawson’s Creek” cutie didn’t want their daughter indoctrinated in schools run by the Church of Scientology.
