Charlize Theron should have checked with Nelson Mandela before she auctioned off a meeting with the freedom fighter for charity. Theron, who grew up on a farm near Johannesburg, was hawking a trip to South Africa for the World Cup, and included the Mandela session at the OneXOne gala in San Francisco last week. When bidding stalled, she offered to kiss the highest bidder, who turned out to be a mystery woman (pictured). But Mandela was never consulted. His spokesman told Britain’s Daily Mail, “Even the charities that he created have never auctioned off time with Mr. Mandela.”
