Andy Garcia toasts ‘City Island’ in LA

Andy Garcia enjoyed a vodka martini and chicken with parmesan risotto in Los Angeles the night before his new movie, “City Island,” written and directed by Raymond De Felitta, opened nationwide on Friday. Dining with two friends at the upscale Westside Tavern, Garcia sat in a booth behind Post correspondent David Finnigan, who coincidentally acted in several short De Felitta comedy films made in the 1970s while he was in elementary school with the director. After wishing the departing Garcia good luck on “City Island,” Finnigan said, “Viva Cuba libre! (Free Cuba!)” Garcia, who despises Fidel Castro, turned around as he left, smiled, extended his left arm and flashed an ag gressive thumbs-up.
