It’s official — publicity agency 42West is a school for liars. When we asked last week about Halle Berry‘s split with Gabriel Aubry, flack Meredith O’Sullivan warned us: “That doesn’t sound right to me. I haven’t heard anything like that.” On Thursday, we checked again after Berry was spotted having lunch with a mystery man at Serafina.

O’Sullivan said, “I really don’t think there is a story there,” and claimed she couldn’t reach Berry. Well surprise, surprise — on Friday it emerged the couple had indeed split, and Berry had seen lawyers to hash out the separation.
Seems like O’Sullivan is a chip off the old block of deception. In 1992, we asked 42West founder Leslee Dart if Woody Allen was splitting with Mia Farrow and taking up with her daughter, Soon-Yi. Dart’s response: “That’s disgusting. What an outrageous thing to ask! How dare you.”
