Cate Blanchett downplays Oscar talk

“Blue Jasmine” star Cate Blanchett downplayed her Oscar frontrunner status at a Film Society of Lincoln Center’s tribute to her Wednesday at Alice Tully Hall.

“It’s lovely . . . but it’s an act of hubris to even think about that stuff. It’s only just October,” she told us before a Q&A.

Her director, Woody Allen, made an appearance via video, quipping, “I find it impossible to sit through two hours of relentless adulation, especially for somebody else.”

Instead, he was seen having dinner with wife Soon-Yi over at East Pole Kitchen & Bar on East 65th Street. We hear he’s editing his next film.

Earlier Wednesday, Alec Baldwin toasted Blanchett at a New York Film Festival dinner, where guests included Jim Jarmusch, and she then attended a lunch at Le Cirque on Thursday with castmate Bobby Cannavale. Marina Abramovic and Philip Seymour Hoffman were also at Le Cirque’s Sony Pictures Classics reception. Busy Blanchett was further spotted this week with one of her kids at Sant Ambroeus on Madison Avenue.

Who knew Cate ate this often?
