Heads swiveled, lips whispered and fingers texted away when Anna Wintour was seen lunching Friday at the Lambs Club with Huma Abedin.
The Vogue queen and the top Hillary Clinton aide and wife of Anthony Weiner were very publicly positioned at a table just inside the entrance of the eatery, which is a favorite of Midtown media types.
Theories abounded in the room: Was the meeting about Anna becoming a bundler for Hillary’s expected presidential run? Is Huma hatching an image revamp in the pages of the Condé Nast fashion bible after standing by her Twitter twit hubby?
But a source insisted the two have been “friends for years,” and were just catching up over lunch. We’ll see . . . .
