The trial of former Chicago Police Sgt. Drew Peterson, who’s accused of killing his third and fourth wives, will feature the testimony of ABC News’ Martin Bashir when it starts in two weeks. A source said Bashir had been subpoenaed over his January 2009 interview with Peterson, during which Peterson made comments that allegedly contradicted statements he had given law-enforcement officials. Bashir also testified at Michael Jackson’s child-molestation trial in 2005. A rep for ABC said, “the subpoena seeks a copy of the ‘Nightline’ broadcast report, which included Mr. Bashir’s interview with Drew Peterson.”
