“AVATAR” has returned from a Middle East tour, where the Oscar favorite was screened for thousands of troops. Director James Cameron and cast members Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and Michelle Rodriguez traveled to Bahrain in late January to show the movie at a military base and aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and USS Bonhomme Richard. James’ brother, John D. Cameron, a former Marine and a military consultant on the picture, told us: “Showing ‘Avatar’ to the troops was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To do something for the men and women who serve our country was a great privilege.”
