As Michael Jackson’s wrongful death trial rages — one of his siblings is coming to the New York stage. La Toya Jackson will star off- Broadway in “Newsical the Musical” starting Sept. 3. She’ll take over from former “227” diva Jackée Harry. “I’ve wanted to do [theater], but on Broadway the shows play for such a long, extended time,” mused Jackson, who’s busy filming her Oprah Winfrey Network show “Life With La Toya.” She’ll star in “Newsical” through Sept. 8, and then decide if she’ll return later. To prep, La Toya told us she took an acting workshop and checked out Kim Coles and Kym Whitley’s weekly “Ladies Night Live Comedy Show” in LA. About the trial, she told us, “I speak to my mother every day,” noting only one of Michael’s siblings is allowed in the courtroom at a time. “This has been very taxing on her. But she’s so strong. She’s holding up so well. We were all there for the last [Conrad Murray] trial.” Of her niece Paris, who’s been in the hospital since a suicide attempt, La Toya said, “She’s coming along and getting proper attention.”
